"Ideas you believe are absurd ultimately lead to a success."
Spent today, the first day of the (lunar) new year at the Nam June Paik Center. Wonderfully designed museum dedicated to world renowned video artist/activist Nam Jun Paik. The museum also features new works of video and film projects from current cutting edge artists.

Gangnam Style

If I had a chon won for every time I've heard one of my kindergarten or elementary students sing "heyyyy, sexy lady! Oppa Gangnam Style" I could retire from hagwon teaching for life! I went to see Psy's free "victory concert" in the City Hall area of Seoul with 80,000 other Seoulites. I couldn't resist seeing the hometown crowd and hometown hero love it up. The concert began with the crowd singing the National Anthem (as the international success of this song was a big moment in Korean history). Personally, Iove it that the song that sparked a worldwide dance craze is, in part, a parody aimed at the disjointed aspects of opulence and excess. The show was a good time with Psy singing all the crowd pleasers from his 12 year career.

When I walked into class one day I found this picture waiting for me on the classroom's whiteboard. The 9 yr old artist explained "You and Psy are love with each other". Note Psy in his trademark horse dance move while I lasso.

Known for its 63 floors and its status as the world's largest gold clad building, it's the famous "63 Building" of Yeouido. Magic Pond Yoga is in the building two doors down.

Up early every Saturday morning to ride the subway to Yeouinaru. This guy seemed more tired than me so I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

This car was often parked on the sidewalk on my walk to Magic Pond. Across the street was a REAL BAKERY(!!) with REAL chocolate croissants.

I may currently call the open skies of Arizona home but I make myself at home wherever I may be! After a decade of working in radio as a presenter, producer, and recording engineer and having had the opportunity to record many respected international musicians I eventually stumbled upon yet another path less traveled. The journey...
